No. 5 of Seven Things That Make a Difference in
Your Network Marketing Business
If you are in the process of building a Network Marketing Business, or considering starting one, there are skills you will need to develop and actions you will need to take to be successful in your business.
Some of these things are habits. Some of them are mindset. Others are things that you must use effectively to build a large business. Over the next few weeks, I’m going to reveal these 7 things to you.
Today, I present #5 – Consistency.
The underlying factor in all these things is a concept called “getting over the line”. Getting over the line means to develop the mindset that there is no turning back. You must have a rock-solid commitment to your business, your company, and your future so that you will never quit, no matter what challenges come up. Once you make that commitment, you must be laser focused and never turn back. You are committed to your dream and your future.
That’s getting over the line.
As a leader, you duplicate these 7 things to help the individuals in your organization develop their mindset that there is no turning back and to stay laser focused. These 7 things will dramatically increase the number of people in your group to get over that line.
They are:
1. Posture
2. Image
3. Events
4. Personal Development
5. Consistency
6. Commitment
7. Sacrifice
So, let's look at number Five:
Consistency
Consistency doesn't sound exciting like lead generation, Internet marketing, or recruiting techniques. But, consistency will make you rich in Network Marketing. The single biggest difference between the top earners and those that struggle is how they approach consistency.
If you’re serious about building your team, whether your new to team building, or have been building it for awhile, launch or re-launch your business with a "major blast" and then talk with two or three new prospects a day after that. Commit to doing this 5-6 days a week.
If you’re using an ad coop, or purchasing industry specific leads, even if you’re part-time, working just 15 hours a week, you can do this. You can be consistent!
This can be responding to a new lead by email. Talking to someone you know. Handing out or mailing a business information packet with scent samples. Or simply inviting them to join you on a conference call.
How many new people did you talk with today, yesterday, and last week?
Consistency means consistency. Do the same thing over and over with commitment.
New team members usually listen to at least one conference call a week for the first few weeks.
Then, life starts to get in the way. Successful leaders are on at least 50 conference calls a year.
They're consistent.
The same thing happens with business opportunity presentations. Some companies and teams have them more than one time a week. New distributors and team builders are always excited about these when they start. Then monotony sets in and they start making excuses not to be on the calls saying and thinking it’s always the same thing. They don't have guests that week. And so on and so on.
They lose their consistency. Plan to be on at least one presentation call a week.
The same thing happens with training events. After the first one or two, distributors not committed to their why, belief, daily actions and personal development, start to make all kinds of excuses why they can't attend this time.
They have given up on consistency. Plan to attend at least one training event a year.
So how are you doing? Are you consistent and talking to 3 new people a day? Are you attending one training call a week? How about one business opportunity presentation a week? Are you participating in 1-2 company events each year?
The consistent leaders do. Are you a consistent leader?
